Position - Day Centre Assistant
Job Description
- • Provide care and personal support to adults with physical and sensory disabilities, acquired brain injury and/or challenging behaviour.
- • Support service users who require PEG feeding and undertake intimate personal care tasks.
- • Support and follow plans for service users.
- • Provide social interaction and stimulation for service users by implementing programmes and activities.
- • Promote dignity and respect when providing support and care.
- • Support service users in their personal development.
- • Contribute to the undertaking of risk assessments.
- • Ensure accurate and timely recording of information and report writing and undertake administrative duties as required.
Any Other Duties
This description of the post is intended to provide a basic outline of the primary functions, the post-holder will have additional responsibilities and required to be flexible when agreed in accordance with his/her Manager.
Essential
- 6 months experience in formal care setting
- • Satisfactory Access NI vetting procedure and satisfactory references
- • NISCC registration (by job start date)
- • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
